Highway Hero Trust successfully organised its Annual Function (AGM) & Meet & Greet on 6th September 2026 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. The gathering brought together members of the Trust, representatives from the transport fraternity, community leaders, well-wishers and distinguished Guests of Honour for an evening centred around association, recognition, dialogue and togetherness.
More than a formal annual gathering, the event created a common platform for people connected with the transport and driver community to meet, exchange thoughts and reflect on the journey of Highway Hero Trust.
The programme also highlighted the Trust’s continued commitment to recognising the people who keep India moving every day and to creating stronger connections between drivers, the transport sector and the wider community.
A Warm Welcome to the Highway Hero Trust Family
The evening began with members and guests gathering at the Constitution Club of India, followed by a warm welcome from the Highway Hero Trust team.
The programme featured addresses by members and representatives of the Trust, along with visual highlights from some of its previous initiatives, meetings and community activities. These moments offered the audience a glimpse into the growing journey of Highway Hero Trust and the relationships it has built across the transport fraternity.
The Meet & Greet format gave the evening a more personal character. Members were able to interact with one another, share experiences and engage in meaningful conversations beyond the formal stage programme.
The strong participation reflected the spirit behind Highway Hero Trust: people coming together with a shared commitment towards safer roads, stronger communities and greater recognition for drivers.
Distinguished Guests of Honour
The Annual Function was made even more special by the presence of distinguished Guests of Honour from different walks of life.
Bollywood Actor Salim Siddiqui
Highway Hero Trust was delighted to welcome Bollywood actor Salim Siddiqui as a Guest of Honour.
Salim Siddiqui has built an impressive body of work across Hindi cinema and OTT platforms. His acting credits include projects such as 12th Fail, Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Kaala, Bambai Meri Jaan and Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. His performance as Atif Ahmed in Dhurandhar: The Revenge also brought him significant recognition.
His presence added a special connection with the entertainment fraternity and brought another dimension to an evening built around community, appreciation and meaningful engagement.
Highway Hero Trust was honoured to welcome him and deeply appreciated his time and interaction with the members present.
Jasvinder Singh Virk
The Trust was equally honoured to welcome Mr. Jasvinder Singh Virk as a Guest of Honour.
His association with Highway Hero Trust has been built through meaningful conversations around India’s transport sector and ideas that can contribute towards strengthening the transport and driver community.
His presence at the Annual Function further reflected the importance of bringing together people from different professional and geographical backgrounds who share a positive outlook towards community development.
The interaction was another step towards building relationships that can help create opportunities, support and greater recognition for people associated with the transport sector.
Dr. Neeraj Sharma
Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Member, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways, Government of India, also graced the occasion as a Guest of Honour.
His presence was particularly meaningful at a gathering representing the transport community. Road and rail connectivity together form an essential part of India’s mobility ecosystem, and the participation of individuals associated with these sectors helps broaden the conversation around transportation, infrastructure and service to the nation.
