AIMTC, Highway Hero Trust and Azad Hind Union Punjab Hold Joint Meeting on Driver Welfare

A productive joint meeting was held today between representatives of the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), Highway Hero Trust, and Azad Hind Union Punjab to discuss key issues affecting drivers across the country.

The meeting was attended by AIMTC representatives Harish Sabharwal, H.S. Bakshi, and Vijender, along with Balwant Singh Bhullar (Highway Hero Trust) and Sharanjit S. Kalsi with his team (Azad Hind Union Punjab).

Discussions focused on priority areas that directly impact the driver community, including driver welfare and safety, insurance support, challenges faced on highways, dignity and respect for drivers, and family wellbeing. The group also discussed the need for coordinated policy-level action to secure long-term benefits for drivers nationwide.

It was collectively decided that going forward, these concerns will be taken up together under a united platform, with AIMTC guiding the mission. The aim is to work in alignment and ensure stronger representation for drivers across India.

Highway Hero Trust remains committed to supporting the driver community through awareness, advocacy, and partnerships that strengthen safety, dignity, and wellbeing.
